Champagne Cheddar Pear Loaf

Wine Pairing: Kirkland Signature Champagne Brut


RECIPE


Ingredients:
- Pillsbury flaky rolls
- Thin pear slices
- Thin slices of Champagne Cheddar (regular aged cheddar or even Brie would work if you can’t find Champagne Cheddar!)
- 1 egg (beaten) for egg wash

Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 F
- In a greased mini loaf pan, start layering ingredients in the following order: Biscuit, cheddar slice, pear slice, cheddar slice, biscuit (repeat)
- Brush load with egg wash
- Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes. Check doneness (it should be partially cooked at this point and retaining its shape). Remove from loaf pan and the bake again on a flat greased baking sheet for another ~20 minutes (or until cooked through).
- Once out of the oven, place on a serving board and drizzle with a LOT of honey. This would make the perfect centrepiece to any holiday charcuterie or snack board!
- Serve immediately with a chilled glass of your favourite Champagne! 🥂
